I saw something today on a dear friend’s Facebook timeline “…sometimes we have to go a little crazy in order to find our sanity….” Yes Katy Evans, miss supermodel, actress, and dear friend, I read your status update as you headed back to Europe. I wish you safe travels and I’m happy you agreed to model for my daughter, Stephanie Gomez at our major event this Oct. in Atlanta. You are truly a friend and I’ll always be grateful.
Speaking of grateful, that is one thing that makes people go a little crazy, all the ungrateful people today because they’re too busy with their life to think about those that help them move forward, pure selfishness, thinking only about themselves and not the people they will hurt with their lack of selfless service. Stop, before you think this last paragraph applies to you, keep reading, it probably doesn’t, it applies to my past, not my present.
Two nights ago I cried. Yes, I’m being personal here, but it’s true and only one person witnessed those tears, and we’ll leave it at that. I went a little crazy. Two nights ago I would have celebrated my three-year anniversary—though I ask myself today of what? A lie? Oh I can breathe now, I’m past it. I wish her the best—well, in a small way.
The pain is gone, the tears washed it away. I’m a writer. I wear my heart on my sleeve but I’m brutally honest. Though the thing I enjoy most is all the sharks kissing up to what was once mine—she’s not that fresh anymore, so enjoy the spoils.
Now, moving forward, yes, I’m working on the biggest writing project of my life and let’s hope my clients don’t see this and fire me—they won’t—they gave me my first parasail experience and took me to Ernest Hemingway’s house to get me motivated, to help me get over her—and it’s working.
So this is my five-minute break from my writing, enjoy, hug someone; be grateful, it’s only the ungrateful that will have to answer to their God—if they believe in one. If they don’t, oh well, they don’t know what they are missing out on.
Well that’s my daily rant, call me a little crazy, and remember, be grateful, life is short, appreciate what life brings you because sometimes you only get one chance. I am grateful for the people that have helped me through life these past few months, you know who you are—thank you! With that I close as always and ask you not to forget the men and women who proudly serve our nation, God Bless them, their family and friends, Rolando.
